GO CRAZY MARKETING AND 1ST CLASS FUNDING

These 2 guys are giving me more than I can handle! My head is spinning just a few days following their first "blogging" seminar I attended. I learned so much and am enjoying utilizing this forum. NOW, they go and give us MORE tools...VOICEPAD...when, will it end? They are proving to be just the recipe we ALL needed to TAKE IT TO THE NEXT LEVEL.

This new product will allow the collaboration between Realtors and Lenders to not only provide a more thorough resource for potential clients, but a stronger relationship between peers in our industry. I have rambled about it before and I will continue with it now, this kind of networking and sharing of information is what is going to excel those who want to be "professionals" and leave behind those looking for the "easy deal"...they just aren't out there like they were. This doesn't mean the market is bad....it simply means you must be an informed and ACTIVE professional agent. My agents are really taking a hold of this concept and it is so exciting to see the utilization of tools they are given. I can't wait to write more as we begin to see the results unfold.

BloggingBusinessPros by Dave Barnhart

A BIG thank you once again to Dave Barnhart for opening the doors to myself and my agents at J. Roberts & Co. His knowledge is expansive yet his way of communicating has made it so easy for us "newbies" to jump on the blogging experience and share our real estate knowledge with others. Technology certainly is critical in the real estate industry and we must currently be utilizing all opportunities to reach our clients, market our listings, assist and educate agents and share with the general community the everchanging market conditions. This has given me and the agents a vehicle to all add our personal touch of communicating to you and making ourselves available to to whatever it is you might need.

If you, or anyone you know, may be interested in learning more about this resource available to us all, please contact Dave Barnhart. He has generated a new level of excitement within our office and I wanted to thank him personally for that!

Superbowl 2008 in Gorgeous Arizona!

How is exciting is this going to be! Our amazing new University of Phoenix Stadium. I just visited the site for Superbowl 2008 at Click Here . And, according to their blog it is officially 190 days from Superbowl as of 7/27/07! According to this site this spectacular event will have an enormous effect on the local economy as stated in this quote under the Superbowl FAQ's:

"What is the average economic impact of a Super Bowl to the local economy?
The average economic impact of the Super Bowl on a host city is $300-400 million."

Already hotels are booked, restaurants are blocking out the 4 days surrounding the event and now locals are placing their own residences up for rent during this time. I myself have friends, family, clients and peers I know all frantically preparing and weeding through inquiries eager to book their reservation.

So, February 3rd in Arizona, ummmm, how fantastic is our weather then! A perfect day is sure to be had for those coming to our Valley for this event. I am having a blast looking at all the promotional material already in full gear to educate and inform us of all the events in the City of Phoenix, Scottsdale, Peoria and entire surrounding areas during this time. So, as I learn more, I will update you on what it is I find.

As Brokers and Agents, what an exciting opportunity for people all over the nation and even other countries to visit our hometown and possibly be so enticed that they become interested in a vacation or 2nd home here! Do you think we should be planning ahead to accomodate the flow interest this Superbowl 2008 is sure to generate? You bet!

I'm looking forward to the hoopla and reading your thoughts and comments on not only this, but the abundance of events we have planned in Arizona this coming "high season!"

TOUCHDOWN!

How GORGEOUS is our City of Scottsdale!

Header

This morning I got a call from my mother to meet for breakfast at the Good Egg in Hilton Village. It was quite early, but I was already up and of course, diving into my new blogging efforts, so I said, "Sure!". My husband and I jumped in the car and took Tatum South to Lincoln through Paradise Valley and being that it is Saturday and early we had very little traffic so we were able to crawl the course with no complaints from other drivers. Being that we are both natives to the Valley we talked as we passed old homes on the mountain that we remember ever since we were kids passing on Sunday drives with our parents and mingled in were these soaring homes resiting on the mountains, but looking more like they were a part of the mountain than an obstruction to it. We wound around Tatum and went East on Lincoln, looking at the old La Posada (where great memories have been had) and saw the new structures being put up (I am still not convinced I'm thrilled with this new addition to the area), but still the new combined with the old seems to be working just fine. So many homes being reconstructed and older ones on those huge lots make you wonder the stories that unfolded from the families that lived there.

After breakfast I jumped in the car with my Mom as we headed to the Antique Stores and we took the route of Scottsdale Road, which I do drive daily, yet it is so lovely. Leaving Hilton Village we passed historic McCormick Ranch Lake (where I grew up/Chaparral High 86), commented on the old Chart House, approached Gainey Village and looked on as the landscapers on Doubletree were working away to make a new corner monument and floral arrangement. Just as beautiful of an area as I remember as a kid. The city of Scottsdale is like living in a permanent vacation locale. Don't get me wrong, not a HUGE fan of the triple digit weather, but todays course was one of fond memories and gratitude that I am in a profession promoting living in a community which I so adore and am in love with.

No Excuses, You can MAKE a difference in your OWN business.

Yes, we are not in the Real Estate craze we were in recent years, however, business is still out there. This is good news for the agents who want to make a career in real estate, not so great news for those who got their license and were able to just coast on the abundance of opportunities. Your brokerage can put your listings in ad and doing branding for the company, but the best billboard in the industry is YOU! How do you do this? Get out there and start talking to people, everyone, reminding you are in the business and you are a valueable resource to them in all aspects of the industry. Network within your community and educate yourself on what's going on around you, in your city, events, neighborhood, mortgages, etc.
I just read a great blog this morning reiterating my thoughts on this by Richard Bueno in Los Angeles, California. For more information contained in his blog, click here.

BIG Apologies to Steven Groves!

So, as I've told you all about my exciting new blogsite there is one outstanding member of the event I failed to mention, quite honestly not because he wasn't worth mentioning, but quite the opposite.....I lost his business card! So, after a bit of internet searching I was able to find his site and I want to take this time to officially thank Steven Groves who also led the blogging seminar and who also ignited this new found frenzy of addiction to this blogging. Steven, thank you and now that I found your blog site, I look very forward to reading what you have to say! Hope to speak with you soon and I recommend you all visit Steven's site for an abundance of information!

Scottsdale/Phoenix "Season" Expected to be HUGE

After meeting with a representative of US Airways Magazine, we were talking about current market conditions and how we agreed we were steady, but not in a "slump" as so many articles were reporting. As we continued our discussion we began listing all of the activities coming up over the next season and realizing the potential for another huge wave of interest to develop within our beautiful Valley of the Sun. People from all over the country will be coming to visit our lovely state for events such as the Phoenix International Grand Prix, The Fiesta Bowl, Parada Del Sol, Barrett-Jackson, The Phoenix Open, Spring Training...and, hmmmm, there was one more...hold on...let me get my notes....OH YES! The Superbowl in our amazing new stadium and urban development surrounding it are sure to create quite a "buzzzzz" from all of our out of state visitors. So, with this in mind above and beyond the already amazing benefits to being a resident of Arizona, imagine the interest in living here that will begin to flourish this coming season! I don't know about you, but I think it is very exciting!

Arizonas Real Estate Connection Group NOW FORMED

Well, hello again. For those of you who know me I am sure are already aware of my dedication to building a networking team of industry professionals. And, for those of you who don't know me, this is the reason for this blog. I am agressively trying to network a leading resource team for our community and have set up Arizona's Real Estate Group not only for agents of J. Roberts & Co. Real Estate Services, but for Agents/Brokers/Trainers/Lenders/etc. in the Valley to join us in this forum and get to know each other. Relationship building in our business, as we already know, is what seperates the "licensed" agents from the "professionals" and we all know that right now we must be well informed and utilizing our skills and time effectively. Here we can communicate with eachother what is working, what is not working, what might work...you get the idea, but even more so, we would just love to hear about who you are, what you do and hear about your day, your experiences and/or whatever else you care to share!
